Hostname/Server hostname

The unique name of the server.

Example: serv123.mooieserver.nl

You’ll receive the name once at the moment your hosting account is set up. Remember the server hostname well.

SMTP

Protocol to sent e-mails from your own e-mail software (like Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail).

POP/POP3

Protocol to receive e-mails on your own e-mail software (like Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail).

POP is a protocol which downloads the e-mails on your own e-mail software. After downloading it the e-mail is deleted from the web version (server). The advantage of this protocol compared to IMAP is that it takes less storage on the server.

IMAP/IMAP4

Protocol to receive on your own e-mail software (like Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail).

IMAP is a protocol which copy’s the e-mails to your computer/laptop/mobile/tablet. This protocol does not delete the e-mail from the web version (server).

The disavantage of this protocol, in comparison with POP, is that it takes more disk space storage.

You can find your public IP address by visiting the website: www.watismijnip.nl

Login information

A combination of the following information:

  • Username
  • Password
  • url / server / domain
  • and if applicable: server port
    We really appreciate it if the credentials that you provide us are tested. If there are special requirements like VPN login or IP whitelist, we would like to have the information in advance.

WP Core/WordPress Core

The “bald” version of WordPress.

Consist of: the standard WordPress with twenty-“X” themes

WP Core can be extended with plugin’s and other themes.
